Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Review | Nerdluster

Nerdluster: Even with pretty graphics, a complete story, and beautiful music it's Ni No Kuni's gameplay that sets this RPG apart from its peers. Level-5 should be commended because the JRPG sphere is already dominated by a very particular gameplay style and their team managed to differentiate itself not only with content but with fun & simple interactive elements.

Pre-orders for the special edition suffered from reservation problems that led to many fans not receiving their copy of the limited edition collectables. It's also sad it took this long to come to North America because it would have made a great title during the middle point of the current console generation. As it stands beginning its run near the end-of-life phase on the PS3 it will not drive new console sales like a launch title would. That being said Ni No Kuni is an amazing RPG title that mixes elements from Final Fantasy, Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Kingdom Hearts. With creative professionals from Studio Ghibli providing an engaging story, beautiful design, and soulful music what's not to like? This is a definite buy. (Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, PS3) 90/100

I just beat this game 5 minutes ago. And it was just an amazing game. I can't wait to go back and play some more and do some more of the sidequests. But I had tons of fun with it and really enjoyed the story. It definitely is deserving of this score.

I've just got the ultimate wand (with the jewels) and just wondered, have I still got quite a lot of story left or am I near to finishing it?

*Spoilers ahead*

You aren't too much farther. I'd say about 5-8 hours or more depending on how quickly you are able to beat some of the bosses. Maybe more if you have to train. I was already overleveled, so I was able to go through the ending part of the game really quickly. Be careful though, some of the final boss fights can be very tough. I came very close to dying once when facing Shadar and I was something like level 60, which I think is a fair level.

*End Spoilers*

But, you will enjoy the ending of the game. It was pretty fun.

Cheers! I've got to do a few other things yet that will probably get my level to around 60, so I'll be ok if I take lots of Phoenix downs with me

Dude and don't forget to visit all the places you saw that had purple chests. You can open them now. :)

I'm quite a ways past that part. But if you want any pointers or have any questions, you should add me on PSN.

I'm level 56 and have two stones on my wand! Now I have to face the "ghost ship", tried it once and got scared!

Finished the game 2 days ago and was about 70 hours in. I will never forget this incredible game. Still blown away from the ending. My only problem though was that the White Witch didn't get enough character development. PLEASE let there be a sequel.
