StickSkills: "In response to the community backlash resulting from the delay of Rayman Legends, Ubisoft has announced that an exclusive demo is coming to the Wii U."
Well at least the demo is exclusive lol.
Good, as this should settle all the outcry and childish remarks that have been going on. ;)
Care to explain how complaining about an unnecessary 7 months delay is considered childish?
To tell you the truth but haven't seen much childish remarks, just more of gamers having a valid point that the game with supposed to come out in three weeks, and because of the stipulation made by another company we have to wait seven months. The ignorant comments are out there but they're far and few between, above all else I'm very proud that gamers are fighting back about this matter, it's a very poor judgment call on the part of Ubisoft.
No!!! childish was the stupid idiots on Bayonetta 2, delaying a completed game due in 2 weeks till september is reason to be unhappy. Sony and MS fanboys would do the same. From a gaming stand point it's wrong regardless of platform. A demo till sep is a piss take and for that they will regret the move.
I don't know who this demo will please... I'm already planning to buy other games instead of Rayman in September. This demo doesn't change that.
Seeing as there is already a demo of the game I r confused. lol
Demo? There's already a downloadable demo for the Wii U!
one you can play 30 times the same level. It's a clear piss take
LOL what? there already a demo LMAO Ubisoft u Fail!
But its an exclusive demo. U get 2 exclusive demos. WiiU FTW!!!!!!!
A demo already came out, and I deleted it. Keep that garbage off my porch.
The demo has been out for weeks already
LOL. If not for Akuma, Mika and their many accounts, your Wii U hatred/trolling would be unparralled. This is a completely new demo. Learn how to actually read the actual articles before you comment on them. This one had only about 5 sentences. Not that I would expect one who demonstrates such fanaticism to be concerned with facts and details. Still a crap deal though. Nintendo fans know its complete thanks to a comment by one of the devs. Well, Ubisoft better hope that sales of the PS3/360 version alone will cover the costs, because hardly anyone on the Wii U wants this game now.
nah, i dont even wana bother reading it.. I played the demo a few times & not gonna bother if its still SEVEN months away lol.. Its not my fault these articles keep popping up so mind ya business son.. Now that its coming to PS3, anything related to this game IS MY BUSINESS now.. Go to your cave & think evil thoughts guy.. I know ur hurt cuz u gotta wait a looooooong time now lol
Hurt? I don't have a Wii U and I wouldn't have bought this game even if I did. I'm a PC gamer. Fanboys are something special on this site though. I noticed that from the moment of it being announced multi-platform, PS3 fanboys were coming out of the woodwork trying to wave it in their face and insist on it being catastrophic to Nintendo fans only to find out that going mufti-platform didn't provoke the reaction they were hoping for. Your words mirror that logic. You hope that this news has created some form of wound for which you can pick at, but no.
This makes the whole situation worse in a way... "Ya, we wanna shelve your finished game for 6 months so we can port everything to other consoles, but here's another super duper special demo for ya so you know exactly what you're missing"
It does come off as condescending. Unless this demo is half the game with the ability to save your progress, it doesn't fix any of the problems they made for themselves.
Its a new demo with new levels.
I don't think anything from Ubi should use the term "exclusive"
Ubisoft aren't reaching stratospheric EA levels of Nintendo jealousy, but they're most definitely trying their hardest. Remember EA? NBA Jam Wii Exclusive? That Garden simulator for the 3DS Launch? Dead Space on rails exclusive? I hope Wii U gets Yoshi, Mario or some other platformer in Sep.
Wind Waker HD already has a launch date set for August, so most people are likely to get that before Rayman.
Two different genres for two different audiences. Go back to your Zelda shrine.
Why not give it a Digital release on the WiiU? In that way, it will only be available to the fans and the Hardcore. That will lessen their shipping cost and they won't have to advertise for it Twice. When they release it for all Systems then they can ship it out in Box form for WiiU as well. They could use the Digital sells to fund the TV advertising.
If Wii U gamers are smart, they will not download that demo at all. It would be an insult to themselves.
I agree. While boycotting the released game would hurt the devs who are also the victims in this story, let's at least boycott this demo as stupid and only symbolic this act can be. And I don't want to spoil too much myself either, I want to keep as much discoveries as possible for when I get the full game.
Nice! can't wait to try it
We're excited over exclusive demos now?
They're not fixing the problem they are merely trying to put a Band-Aid on it, I'm sorry but they've lost my wallet for 2013. As a gamer I have to standby some principles if not than for me its saying I will fall for anything
so i recently picked up donkey kong country returns for wii and i'm playing it on the wii u. i love it, its a very fun and challenge game. i'd recommend it to anyone who wants a great platformer to play. i played the demo rayman orgins on ps3 and for legends on wii u. and it wasn't a game i planned on getting. But for what it’s worth, it can be had new for around 29.99 and I find the platforming way better than rayman.
i just deleted the rayman demo on my wii u. i was gonna buy rayman on it bc right now i just want something to play. rayman can just bomb for all i care, never perticulary liked it anyway. the delay is just bullshit and an exlusive demo is pure bullshit. i hope ubisoft loose money on this, like they deserve
I've been thinking hard about what to write and all I could come up with is.
la la la, lalala la la
Multiplatform should have been the first thing, not the last. It was a clear marketing strategy by the suits. No matter how negative it looks they get two camps to gloat and tease Camp nintendo.
