Dead Space 3's Action Focus A 'Necessary Evil' - Dead Space 1 Writer

NowGamer: "Dead Space 3 has - at least critically - been met with a great deal of disappointment. On one hand it's a great, polished shooter, on the other it's not exactly very scary.

Speaking to NowGamer, the writer for the original Dead Space - Antony Johnston - claims this new approach was necessary for the series to grow." (Dead Space, Dead Space 3, EA, PS3, Xbox 360)
