8 ways to tell your favourite game is selling out

I actually enjoyed syndicate, pretty good game imo just a little too short.

Sorry, but I absolutely love Co-Op in every possible way. There is absolutely no loss in value in playing a Dead Space 3 single player. Why would anyone even care if people enjoy playing it with a friend? Whose experience is ruined? Certainly not mine.

That goes for every game with Co-Op. I like playing with friends. How is that a bad thing? The Co-Op in Dead Space 3 actually makes a lot of sense.

Adding co-op-out to Dead Space 3 was a sad excuse. People being too scared to play the game alone..isn't that the point of the game?

The game was also obviously made as Action first. Enemies being in your face near instantly is a problem, because it removes the idea of shooting limbs, and turns it into a melee game.

Who said that is why they added Co-Op? It's certainly not why I play it, with that game or any other. I play Co-Op because I like playing with friends. Simple as that. There is legitimately NOTHING lost for people that want to fly solo. If that's what you want, then do it. There are no anchors tied to your back.

Bagging on Co-Op is lame. You want to bag on unnecessary multi-player... fine. Agreed.

Surprisingly enough, this is some of the most obvious problems we face currently. I had my doubts at first, but this was good.

I wonder if they will lose goodie bags because of this?

This...... from OPM? I had more respect, a trailer isn't done by the director or developers, coop add an additional layer of fun, dead space 3 would most likely have been the same game with 1 character. Micro transactions have been in games for years, it doesn't ruin or spoil any Fifa game, or any MMO. Box art? Pushing for what in this article? There's many games with that cover, are any of them shit? Hardly. Crysis 2 is shit in any setting and ive never played DLC that changed a main story line.

3/10 for effort.

LOL, funny article and I would agree with most of it. The only thing I have an issue with is the Co-op. I think this has been more popular because friends like to play with friends and NOT always shooting in the face MP.
WELL IMPLEMENTED co-op is a rich extension of the SP experience.
Why not share some scares with your best bud in Dead Space or RE?
Or go dungeon hacking in Hunted the Demon Forge?
Its a great way to not just simply talk on chat but participate. The best thing that's happened in gaming.

Now when its tacked on, we run into all kinds of trouble.

I agree 100 percent with everything in this article. I would have added a few things, but overall this was spot on. It is only a shame that they didn't use 1 or 2 webpages to make these points, because using 8 webpages for a story this short is a sale out in itself.

There's some great points in this article.

One thing I would add is constant bombardment of annual releases. Seeing the comments regarding the announcement of CoD 2013, more people are annoyed than excited. I'd hate to see that happen to Uncharted, Halo, etc.

I don't see valve having that problem though, for obvious reasons. I heard Gabe Newell was attacked by a swarm of 3's as a child, which would explain his irrational fear of trilogies.
