New SimCity Trailer Brings Superheroes and Villains to Your Virtual City

The Limited Edition of SimCity will include the Heroes And Villains pack, that will bring forth the adventures of super hero Maxis Man and super villain Dr. Vu. (PC, SimCity)

good to see a real sim city game on the way. None of that sim city societies bullcrap, id rather eat my own face than play that game.

So on top of this game having to be always online it has day 1 dlc that is only for the limited edition. EA really knows how to keep their title as worst company.

While I agree with the hate towards day 1 dlc. The online only thing doesn't bother me. The multi player side looks great and uses cloud so I can play even if my friend doesn't. Also it will help combat exe editors. So what's the downside.

The always online aspect is limiting to a subset of the audience (slow/unreliable internet connections, people travelling, etc), but I'm more disappointed by the always multiplayer aspect. I don't have any friends picking up SimCity, and I don't want to make friends online or play with strangers. If I want to play alone, I miss out on regional challenges and am limited to a smaller, more specialized city because I'm supposed to have neighbors with complementary specializations. That's what the previews seem to be indicating anyway, won't know until release but the more I read about this game the less optimistic I feel. Fingers crossed this isn't the case and I can get my SimCity fix.
