Why Microsoft Cannot Kill Used Games On The Next Xbox

Paul Tassi: ''Those of us in the gaming industry might know to take rumors about the next console generation with a grain of salt, but those outside? They don’t always get the memo.

If true, this would effectively kill used games sales for the console, and the mere mention of that fact caused GameStop‘s shares to drop as reported yesterday by our own Eric Savitz.

I’m not here to speculate on whether Edge’s source is reliable, but I will say I’m not going to believe anything I hear about the next generation of consoles unless it’s coming directly from the companies themselves. Rather, I want to talk about why this news item cannot be true, at least by the time the console is ready for public release.'' (Xbox One)
