Assassin’s Creed III was a “record-breaker” shipping 12 million units – which is a 70% increase over Revelations, whilst Far Cry 3 also did exceedingly well shipping 4.5 million units – a figure considered to be much higher than expected. Just Dance 4 also managed to ship 8 million units.
EDIT: I posted at the same time as WilliamH, so I didn't see his recommendation for beginning with AC2... so that's two recommendations for AC2 without any influence.
Those are some impressive numbers for AC3. I am getting kinda burned out on the series though. Maybe next gen it will feel fresher with better (tighter) gameplay, and sharper visuals.
Awesome. I was under the impression that sales for it were pretty bad.
The sales reflect the quality of their games.
Except for CoD4.
You pointing that out perfectly explains that. Them being multi-plat has nothing to do with it and only fanboys care to point that out. Thanks for providing proof.
and he has a point, all you see around here is quantric dream, quantic dream, QUANTIC DREAM...lol when they make a GAME, let me know. that last movie they released, heavy something, bored me to tears!
naughty dog, 343 industries, ect...ect...thats all fanboys like to yell about, when honestly, multiplat games are usually the best, yeah, there are a few great exclusives, but 95% of the best games are on all platforms
borderlands 2, XCOM and bioshock: infinite and GTA 5 all crammed in a one year time period is pretty impressive. On top of that they have way less DLC and slap-on software(Uplay, Origin,...) bullish*t than the other publishers.
yep 2K is better, and I thought AC3 was terrible.
But this all comes down to opinions of course and obvious trolling in the first place.
Everybody's making so much money.
SONY should consider going multiplatform on their software. Hear me out before you lynch me. They make such great games but their hardware production is a money blackhole. I mean they made $6 million during the festive season!
6 freaking million! Something's gotta give. At least release some games on Steam or something, anything.
