Where will the gaming industry be in a few generations time?

Yesterday we found out that Microsoft will be enforcing an activation code along side each game, to stop the use of the disk after the initial user has played. Along with this Sony also intend to boycott the idea of second hand games.

How will this affect the gaming industry in the UK? (Casual games, Culture, EA, GAME Stores, Industry, Microsoft, Next-Gen, PS4, Sony, Tech, Xbox One)

I'm sorry but this is a poor article because its based on conjecture in its entirety.

No we didn't. This was one, of several different rumours circulating around. Until this has been established as fact, you cannot state it as one, regardless of who credible the rumour appears to be.

Where is your source?

Also, the subject is completely speculative as well. We have no idea about the gaming industry in the future because we have very little idea of what is in front of us.

The article is opinion ONLY - reason why it has been put into the opinion section on this website. Also it states only thoughts at the end of the article.

I think if ms do put in a code to activate a game, they will also give you the option to buy a new code if you buy used games, just so they can still make money from the used game market.
Personally I feel that I havent bought a complete game in ages, they all have bits of content missing, I dont mean dlc packs, just skins and characters, little things that in my day were unlocked by playing the game.

Maybe everything digital and no physical property. If this proves to be true well the people are to blame because they embraced the idea.
