Dear Capcom, Don't You Dare Ruin Resident Evil: Revelations

GenGAME writes: I’m all for Revelations getting upgrades in the graphics and sound department, but there are certain elements that shouldn’t be disturbed. Capcom Product Manager Mike Lunn has dodged questions about the control scheme in Revelations on several occasions.

He specifically declined to answer if the game would control like Resident Evil 6 at one point, promising more information would come soon. That information has yet to come, and as excited as I am for this game, I’m just a little bit worried that Capcom might make a terrible decision. (3DS, PC, PS4, Resident Evil 6, Wii U, Xbox One)

massive DLCs.
Erimgard  +   1022d ago
In sincerely hope not. Revelations could benefit from extra multiplayer modes as DLC, but that's about it. The game was very complete as it was, I don't need to be charged more for unnecessary crap.

They probably will knowing what they are like

Every time theres a problem with their games they have to add the feature again in another game because they are too proud to admit their ideas suck and that they also failed. So they try to improve it and do it better when in fact they make it worse

If they add the control scheme from RE6 where you can jump on your back and all that crap then they've lost me...again

All I would want them to add is a no time limit mode for mercenaries.

for revelation? because theres only raid mode on it

Yeah I know but I was just saying IF they were to add something in it or change something then the only thing I would want them to add is mercenaries with a no time limit mode.

The amount of times I was in RE4/RE5s mercenary mode thinking to myself "Why can I not just fight off as many as I can without getting those annoying clocks"...you always seemed to get into it with more intense enemies popping up then it ends because you've run out of time

It's not that hard to add...just disable the time mode and replace the clocks with score boosters and they're done

fair enough, it would be interesting to see how long one can last till they make a human error
Root  +   1022d ago
Thats what I was thinking

You would eventual run out of your starter gear and ammo, more enemies would be coming into the stage, more hardened enemies like super salvador, the mini gun guys, the executioner, Allyson (the blonde girl in RE5 at the begining who turns into a mutated majini.

You get the picture, it would get very intense and if they add more locations such as houses you could board up by pushing things in front of the window/doors like that mission in RE4 with Luis it could be great.

idk but if this is old school RE, day one buy for sure. i hope a lot of peeps but it as well and it sells better than 5 and 6. then maaaaaaaaaybe, crapcom will get the message that we want the gameplay from 1-3, code veronica, etc. just with updated visuals and better controls. survival horror though, not third person shooter!!!!!!!!!
Erimgard  +   1021d ago
Revelations is still third person, and has a decent amount of action, but it's definitely a LOT more horror-based than RE6 was.

Well giving that Resident Evil Revelations has the words Resident Evil in the title one has to assume that Capcom will find some way of messing it up, after all they seem hell bent on destroying Resident Evil.
Operation Raccoon City, Resident Evil 5 and 6 can vouch for that.

I'm sorry but revelations is over rated and maybe thats because the last 2 RE games have been awful! There were indeed shinning moments but the majority of it was just another shooter with a little bit of tension.
