Trine 2: Director’s Cut won’t be running at 60 FPS

Wouldn’t you say that Trine 2: Director’s Cut looks quite amazing on Wii U? Developer Frozenbyte was even able to enhance the game’s visuals. But those graphics come with a (small) price. Frozenbyte won’t have Director’s Cut running at 60 FPS in the future.

a shame really, i wonder if they ran out of room or just didn't have enough time to fiddle around with the machine so they could push it :S

One of the few devs praising the hardware makes the game 30fps? ok.. Is it at least 1080p?

720p, with just better textures and V-Sync and more enemies...

Also there are some additional effects like more detailed reflections in the water and more complex physics. You would think they could get additional power by not rendering the game a second time on the gamepad but maybe the hardware is setup a certain way so that doesn't affect the overall performance?

Its more than good enough for me. So long as it demonstrates that it can do more than the last gen consoles.

The Trine 2: DC dev still stated the game, as it is on the Wii U, cold not run on the PS3/360 without downgrades. Also, its still a port at the end of the day.

The best games on the console are the games that were made "for the Wii U.

Like Wonderful 101 which runs flawlessly at 720p 60 FPS.

I didn't notice it at all. Too busy staring in amazement at the art direction and feeling guilty that I only paid $15.99 for it.
