Hearts of Iron III "only really had depth through combat," says East vs. West dev

It's a staring competition between NATO and the Warsaw Pact in East vs. West: A Hearts of Iron Game, which grants us an 'expanded toolset' to deal with the rest of the world plunged into Cold War.

The vanilla Hearts of Iron III "only really had depth" through its military, says Gellert Keresztes, whereas East vs. West draws a lot upon national politics and espionage. (East vs. West: A Hearts of Iron Game, PC)
