In Fire Emblem, Marriage Can Be A Fate Worse Than Death

If you're interested in the new 3DS strategy game Fire Emblem: Awakening, you've probably heard two things about it: First, that if a character dies in battle, they're gone for good. Second, that characters can fall in love and marry one another.

In other words, the two constants in Fire Emblem: Awakening are marriage and death. It's a lot like life in that way, actually.

The thing that's not like life? You can accidentally marry a little girl, like I did. Whoops. (3DS, Fire Emblem: Awakening)

In life, marriage can be a fate worse than death. I don't envy some of my married friends.

I don't get the whole marriage thing

Wake up to the same women day after day after day...don't think I could do that.

With a girl/guy I think of it like this...I'll ride the "roller-coaster" a few times and when I get bored I'll get off and go on a different ride

I'm just a guy who likes my freedom to be honest

EDIT

Yup...21 this year :'(

@root

I used to think the same way. Some day you might meet some one that you just vibe with and click. Love can grow and before you know it, you can't imagine your life without her. I wasn't looking for a girlfriend or love, it just happened. Most people get married before they know what life is. Then they realize things will sag and she won't be beautiful anymore, then they realize that aren't compatible, don't have the same interests, or they just grow apart. Love is not for every one but a horrible partner is like hell on earth. I couldn't imagine life without my wife. She's my better half.

Help this guy if he ever plays Agarest Zero.

To give you an idea, the first generation is perfectly normal but then the kid of the hero you start with grows up to take his place... And eventually get married himself.

ALL of his potential love interests were alive, and adults, before he was born!

Crap on me... Deleting game as I don't want to be tied down, at least not to the girl I married in game as i didn't know what I was getting myself into when I reached Rank S. I was only 3 hours in anyway.

The title reminds me of reality a little bit :p at least for some marriages.
