Cross Buy for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time Retail Copies not Working, Sony is Looking for a Fix

Everyone who picked up Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time today on PS3 was given a free PlayStation Vita copy, thanks to Cross Buy. When you went to access the ‘Disc Benefits’ section on the XMB after the PlayStation Store updated today, though, you probably noticed that it wasn’t working.

Well assuming its true, I hope they do find a fix. This is one of the few cross buy games I actually actively want on the PS3 and hopefully my future Vita.

@TrendyGamers

Well, here's hoping. I'd be quite pleased if they had a fix that soon.

It should be fixed pretty quickly, maybe even today or tomorrow.

How that work? U buy the digital version and stars downloading the vita version too? I want to get the digital version but the only cross game i haved is ps all stars disc version and u get the vita version on the disc

yes, you buy the digital ps3 version and right away it gives you the option to download the vita version as well and why the heck i have 3 disagrees? retail copies are the ones having that problem not the digital ones, im playing sly on vita right now.

You guys are extremely optimistic. People on the forums aren't being this nice. I just now got it to work.

I know... I just used the twitter link to their forums and man there are some cry babies out there on the interwebs... They're acting like they can't even play their PS3 copy

Most consumers that aren't fanatics get mad when their time and money gets wasted. I used to be like that about Microsoft before I became a fanatic.
I loathed them for making my Xbox 360 so devoid of built in hardware features like WiFi and non generic HDD's. I used to complain about Xbox Live not being free too. And then I started frequenting gaming sites much like this one and I started noticing other people who didn't even own xbox 360's (read ps3 owners) complaining about xbox and microsoft and that kinda got me defensive and over time gave me the ability to overlook (inability to see) the flaws.
Yup gaming sites turned me into a fanatic. I'd call it by its true name, but I'll get marked for trolling.

Wow that veered off topic quite a bit. Bottomline, when you're a paying customer and not a fanatic, you're a lot less patient and forgiving of inconveniences. Then there those who will call others crybabies for not being as fanatically forgiving as they are ^

I hope you know you can download the vita version( which by the way they are giving you for free) now, on retail and digital copies lol.

phewww I just got home from school plugged in my vita and noticed the same thing. Im glad its something that they are resolving and are on it asap. I'll patiently wait till you guys resolve it. :)

Well, I haven't bought the game yet, but when I get around to it I'm sure this issue will be fixed.
black911  +   838d ago
Msybe they did it intentionally. And are waiting to see how sales are looking first before they give away a free game. Its all business.
Bladesfist  +   838d ago
Pretty sure that is illegal. If it is advertised that a free vita copy comes with the game and they do not deliver then they can be sued.

It's working now...currently downloading.
