Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time PS3 and PS Vita Download Sizes Revealed, It’s Big

We offered up our verdict on Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time earlier today and, unlike Dead Space 3, which launched at 12:01 am PST this morning, you’ll have to wait until the PlayStation Store updates sometime this afternoon to download it to your PS3 or PS Vita.

On my connection, that's probably going to take an hour!

Why are PS3 exclusives So Big in Size in comparison to multiplatform DVD9 games? I came to the conclusion that Maybe it has more to do with Bluray and not DLC! Just think for a second. Why does ever ps3 exclusive takeup over 20gigs but 3rd party games only fill up dvd9. Have developers been cutting content just to fit everything on to 1 dvd9. You Decide. This came to me when I found out Deadspace 3 would take up 2 disc. That would be last game I would expect to to fill a DVD9 disc. So why havent more games this gen filled DVD9?

The reason why a dvd game can take two disc yet not fill a single one on bluray is that each dvd has shared assets so it's technically two of the same file on each 360 disc, where the bluray only needs one copy of each file.

@black More games have used multiple discs. Assassis Creed, Halo, etc all use different discs. Its normally one for single player and one for online, some games let you install textures to the hard drive (battlefield) and use separate discs.

Exclusives use it all because they are pushing more everything. Uncharted, Killzone, etc all have way more textures and stuff being used.

Games like COD don't use more than one disc because they are not pushing anything at all. I do think you are onto something in some regards to cutting content though. There has to be some games out there that "had" to cut content and instead of putting it on another disc they threw it as DLC. These games probably came from Capcom.

ouch 3.2GB on Vita, seriously Sony your ridiculous prices on memory cards is making me delay my Vita purchases because I don't want to delete/transfer what I already have on my little card.
TrendyGamers  +   848d ago
I'll have to delete Golden Abyss to make room for it.

Not a problem for my PS3.
My Vita on the other hand needs the space.
Lower the memory card prices Sony.

Everyone else is saying it too, but even with cross-buy, Downloading on Vita is going to suck. Ok, now what do I delete...?

I just bought the biggest memory card, and even I am going "eh, think I'll just go retail." Seriously hated throwing down a 100 dollars for the card, and now I don't feel like filling it up Sony!

I hope Sony announces bigger and cheaper memory cards for the Vita on Feb 20th or at E3. Because I struggle as it is to pick and choose what games I want to keep on my 16GB (actually 14GB) memory card. And the biggest problem is not deleting games to make up space, it's the downloading, which can take a while.

With Apple showing off their 128GB iPad, I hope Sony announces a 16/32GB internal memory Vita, and add lot more space on their external memory cards for much cheaper. I wouldn't mind paying $99 for 128GB's of space. I think it's ridiculous to pay $99 for 32GB.
