EuroGamer: "In many respects, then, Thieves in Time is a fitting successor to the PS2 titles: Sly Cooper games were always solid genre pieces first and foremost, where likable characters and decent mechanics masked a journeyman feel to some of the content, and the same is true here. Unfortunately, the rest of the world has moved on considerably in the intervening years, and so what starts off as a welcome regression quickly loses its verve. " 6/10
As i said in that article i am finding it very difficult to fathom why that is the case for some games nowadays. Why can't a game stick to what it does best & be regarded for that, don't treat it as a knock on the game.

God this website is absolutely pathetic, and this is coming from someone who has a PS3, the platinum trophy in Sly 1-3, and is buying Thieves in Time tomorrow.
Then again, I'm not a child either.
OMG I don't know which one to choose, HALP!
I'll be picking up a copy anyway despite what the reviews say.
This game has that feel or look to it.
It sounds like he wants a game that he doesn't have to try at.
they gave new super mario bros 2 an 8/10
new super mario wii 9/10
new super mario u 9/10
donkey kong country returns a 9/10
kirby's epic yarn 8/10
its ok for nintendo to retread the same ground they have been treading for 20+ years, but a sequel to a franchise that ended 7 years ago? apparently that has to be hugely revolutionary, otherwise its a piece of crap, regardless of its polish and competence.
if this game were released by nintendo, it would be receiving all sorts of praise.
