A little slow there GameSpot? I got an email from Sony the day of the announcement of this event talking about the live-stream. Surely lots of other people did too.
I don't know why, but I never get the "cool" emails from them anymore. I used to all the time, but I didn't even get the "see whats coming" email this time. All I get now are Store updates two days after it updates, or advertisements to games.
I'm hardly ever selected for a beta unless I do something extra lol, and I've had an account with their site since PS2, and a Ps3 account the first day it launched.
Isnt Microsfot giving more info about Illumiroom at that event? I saw it on their main page on their site about it. It would be at some london event, the same one if I recall.

With this much hype Sony better announce ps4 or a lot of people will be disappointed, including me. So many people will be watching, if they don't announce it that would be the biggest ball drop of all dropped balls in ball dropping history!
My point is just that, everyones watching wanting and waiting for the ps4 announcement if sony wasnt planning on announcing ps4 on the 20th they should now with all this hype... think about it there wasnt this much hype for the ps3 but there was for ps2 and look how that turned out. They would drop the ball big time to waste this oppertunity. So many people will be watching kinda like lebron James when he made the decision.
Can anyone think of any possible announcement that would warrant an announcement of the announcement, live streaming an event they didnt last year and all this secrecy about "the future".
I think Sony will go with 2 different models for launch. A basic version for about 300-399$/€ and another version with a bigger hard drive and some other goodies (PSPlus, Game, additional Controller) for 400-499$/€. Of course it's just speculation but I doubt that Sony will go above 499$/€.
What? I can even see the PS4 cost over $800 but I bet they will set the price at $600 again. And a sku that will cost $400 (maybe $450) with less features "basic"
It will launch with Motor Storm, Battlefield 4, A superior vertion of GTA5, new COD, some jrpg, FiFa, maybe PES, a new ubisoft IP maybe osiris, i hope for TLG, two good psn games, another racing game and that's all I can think ..
But 2014 will start with the new GG ip, GT6 prologe, Sucker Pounch new IP, Bungie new IP, maybe Reaspanw new IP, mlb, Another COD, Osiris 2, a new ghost reacom, 1313, wicher 3, Dark souls 2, MGSgz, watch dog, few rpg's, jrp's, elder s., few move games, 2 good psn games, all the sport games, a ufc and boxing game, a resident evil game(maybe for 2015). That's all I can think of..
guys i know some of you refuse to think that this meeting will be about the next PlayStation console; you all may hav your reasons and i can respect that.
But i will say this, the ps4 will be announced towards the end of the conference and just like the last ps meeting which took place in tokyo. Sony will show a big list of publishers signed up for ps4 development and over a 100 games will be confirmed to be in development.
I say this because to Sony PlayStation meetings have become much more important than the old e3 expos which they will likely use to showcase a few new games sequels and new ips.
Remember the vita was announced in a PlayStation meeting, and later showcased at an e3 where it didnt get as much attention pass say...bioshock vita announcement.
The londom event will be huge as well, given that the ps4 will be on the market by then but not yet in europe. To add to this, the ps4 wont be backwards compatible like some dream it to be, rather theres a rumor going around suggesting that games like beyond two souls and the last guardian will see two different versions, that being a ps3 and a ps4 version. in essence what we are seeing with the vita and ps3 is what we are likely to see with the ps3 and ps4 going forward until Sony stops making ps3s.
The ps4 will be talked about for sure.
I have a feeling that the main focus will be center on the social experience and the new controller playing a key role in all this.
I am just hoping things like voice msg, xchat,party ect are all prsent or atleast talked about so that the fanboys could finally shut up about it.

Oops didnt get the sarcasm, sorry lol, well i think rumors are saying the it will be the same technology used on the rear touch pad on the vita so it should be as responsive as the vita.
Yeah, same here. I believe the touchpad will mainly serve as another input, one which can be use for the web browser. And ultimately bring that vita ressemblence and feel to a greater audience.
I also feel that the share button would be for more than just sharing videos. Maybe this will play some kind of social role like say near does with the vita, like notifications and updates on friends and the like. But really who knows.
Well one thing is for sure, it's going to be one LAGGIN SOB Live Stream just like the rest. lol Needless to say, though, I'm still going to be there =)
