People just keep buying it. I don't know why but they do. It's going to ruin things for gamers in the end. You think people would take more of a stand but they just keep lapping it up.
Unfortunately, gaming has gotten way too big and the established community beforehand has become way too divided. No one looks out for the future anymore and takes way too many terrible practices as "necessary evils". Journalism could have helped spread the word about the harm of DLC in the long run however they are too worried of losing early access to games.
It will have to become ground zero all over again before anybody puts effort in making our hobby better......
"If I see anyone complain about this in the future for new Capcom titles least I know the only people they can blame is themselves
DON'T BUY THEIR DLC...is it that hard to understand "
You're implying that if people complain about future Capcom games that they should look back and generalize (like you do on a daily basis) that all DLC is bad. It isn't Is that really too hard for you to grasp? You have to take each DLC on its own merits. Just because you have a problem with Capcom (and many other things) doesn't mean that you can treat DLC as one whole entity.
So no, the future does not apply to today. People can complain about future Capcom games and not complain today. Not everyone needs to jump on your bandwagon.
The second part is even more insulting. You used caps to tell people not to buy their DLC like all of it's bad. Again you are generalizing all their DLC because you have issues with them. Not everyone sees things like you do and people are free to buy any DLC they wish without any judgement from you. So STOP telling people to not support this DLC or not to buy that game because you don't want to support these publishers. Make your own decisions. N4G is not a polling station where you can start petitions. Go create your own blog if you feel there is something worth fighting for.
The problem is that the gamer community that would actually not buy this content is very small. Most sales of a lot of games are the casual gamers. These are the people who typically found out about the game because of a commercial or because they liked the movies. not because they are actual RE fans who grew up with the series. Those are the people who buy content for this game and others and who continue to do so.
The idea of DLC was a good one, but to sell it of killed it. Especially when it comes to costumes...that should all be unlockable. OR at least have the DLC be unlock codes to people who dont have the skill/patience to unlcok whatever costume is in the game. This would be a better option than forcing players to pay money to unlock something that's in the game.
Want that costume? Either play arcade mode 10x or buy it for $0.99. Some games do this, but most of them Don't.
Keep in mind that there is also the FAKE difficulty mode in certain games to unlock content such as Score Attack mode in P4A. This also works to earn a quick buck in for unlockables, is an awful practice as well...

Oh but no...people who point this out are "whiners", "moaners", crybabies" /s

Who said I was talking for you anyway, did I say "MikeMyers"....no I didn't so stop looking looking for a fight
So just more rhetorical nonsense then?
""DON'T BUY THEIR DLC...MikeMyers"
Again looking for a argument because you get off on it...how sad man
