50% off Select Final Fantasy Games for the Series’ 25-Year Anniversary

Shinji Hashimoto writes, "Twenty-five years ago, our company launched a game called Final Fantasy. It was the result of a lot of hard work and dedication. It was also the start of a franchise that would go on to capture the hearts of millions of players around the world." (Final Fantasy VII, PS Vita, PS3, PSP, Square Enix)

One can only hope this is just a prelude to some great news coming out of Camp Squeenix this year. God knows they need to make a splash or risk becoming completely irrelevant.

I have $20 on my PSP so time to get one.

Not sure if I want 6 or 9 yet.

Don't bother with FFVI, FFV or Chrono Trigger PS1 games. They're all really, really bad SNES ports.

You could always use the Wii/Wii U virtual console to play the SNES versions, but the "definitive versions" of each are as follows:

Final Fantasy V Advance (GBA)
Final Fantasy VI Advance (GBA)
Chrono Trigger (NDS)

So do yourself a favor and limit your PS1 classic to FFIX.

FF9 was the only one I needed. But the GBA versions of FF 1 and 2 are way better than the FF's on the PSN network, at least I thought. I know the GBA versions have the new extra caves for higher levels.

I agree with this. The loading times truly make a difference as well (although I'd recommend SNES versions for everything regardless).

VI is by far the most amazing in terms of story and character development. Every character is a main character and you'll come to love each and every one of them.

ohh I just bought FF9 2 weeks ago but I dont mind because I actually really like it. FF7 is the only game like this ive ever liked so im glad how much I like FF9, I dont care if I had to pay 10$.

I would buy all the FF13-2 DLC if that was on sale too.
