This weekend, many noticed something curious: some Halo titles were listed in the Steam registry. Some assumed this meant that these titles were coming to Steam. According to a Microsoft spokesperson, that's not the case.
I guess PC gamers will go back to bashing consoles exclusives including halo 3 with their AWESOME GRAPHICS CARDS!!!
If true, then Microsoft lost what little respect I had from them (which was very little, but still)..
Of course it's not :/
I'm not surprised, Half Life completely overshadows this game in quality. Source engine 2 announcement to stomp the consoles please ;)
LOL, so much hate in you for Halo. Why do you keep commenting about it?
Why would MS let Halo on Steam? Isn't there a Steambox coming out? It would be stupid of MS to have their flagship title on a rival console. I mean that the way I look at it.
i would have bought it, anyway thanks for nothing microsoft
Welp. That sucks.
Yes because of course they wouldn't deny everything if talks were not in final stages or if they were planning on a surprise announcement. This means nothing, just like the Steam list probably means nothing.
To be fair, that doesn't exactly mean that they are or aren't. This is Kotaku, but we should note what has happened in the past: - Thing gets leaked - Thing gets taken down on basis that there are "no plans to do something like that". - Thing gets confirmed later on like it's some big surprise. And...isn't Halo and Halo 2 already on PC in some way?
I can't understand why it wouldn't. They're not losing any Halo 3 Xbox sales at this point.
To be honest, all hope for the Halo series to come to Steam was realistically dashed when Valve confirmed their SteamBox.
The word duh comes to mind.
Wait so what? halo 3 is over 5 years old if you haven't played it by now why would you be so disappointed that its not coming to PC
