EDGE: "First it was Overstrike, and now it’s Fuse. It seems appropriate that Insomniac’s first game to appear on a non-Sony console has suffered a crisis of identity, but it’s still disappointing to have watched it slough off a visual style that recalled Team Fortress 2 and exchange it for something with less flair. It was necessary, argues Ted Price, as part of a rejig that moved the alien substance Fuse to the centre of the gunplay as well the narrative. Freed of the stylised nature of the previous approach, Fuse is better able to communicate the violent outcomes of its creative weapons."
I hope they go to someone else or back to sony when they finish this game because I still don't see it selling.
That and Insomniac simply were 2nd-party devs, they didn't have any 'Ties' with, but they have to focus on gaining profit or risk ending up becoming like THQ so, this is an obvious move..... spread out and be multiplatform.
'Leaves Sony Exclusivity' sounds like it was made just for shock factor and hits, when any gamer or PS3-user already knew Insomniac was going to make multiplatform games now.... -.-
I'm not surprised though. They argued they were lefting Sony for have better creative control over their games just to go out there and hug EA... Of all publishers, EA. We all knew it would eventually happen.
Dead space ruined...... Correct
Dragon Age ruined...... Correct
C&C Generals ruined ...... Likely
Mirrors Edge ruined...... Don't bother EA you only fk it up
yeah keep up the epic work EA you are on a kill streak
so atomic bomba confirmed for fuse
I'd love a fully expanded Resistance 2 co-op mode game though, I'd totally buy that
It's bad enough they have to lower the graphics to keep the game running smooth for online gaming, and it's bad enough the hit detection/animation system is terrible..
Pump 10 rounds in the chest vs the leg, get the same result. Pump every round into their head and finally after the 6th shot you get a headshot?
I like shooters where your player reacts to certain impacts, not just some universal animation for any hit, regardless of where it happens.
What's with that dumb title?
Hopefully Insomniac realise their mistake and pick a new partner next time.
Ubisoft seem to be one of the best *big* 3rd party groups around ATM.
If people are going to talk trash they should at least their facts right.
The publisher is the one spending the most money, and they'll do everything in their power to make sure that they see a return on their investment.
I just wish they stayed with sony and actually made a new game instead of resistance and ratchet and clank. great games but I feel like there talent could of made something spectacular
Insomniac would have to do something incredibly innovative to generate adequate excitement, and with current gen hardware, that's almost impossible as the systems couldn't properly handle it.
A game that good should have sold a lot more, but I think a lot of people couldn't stomach the frequent screen tearing and frame rate drops - it was too much for current consoles.
My point is if a game as good as Far Cry 3 couldn't crash the charts, then what hope does generic shooter Fuse have.
