Recent news has brought us to ponder, is Halo 3 really dead? Will Bungies title be released on Steam?
The PC gamers will put new life back into Halo 3.
and I for one am glad for it, Halo 3 was a great game. The numbers for Halo 3's online play #'s are pretty low (still reasonably high for an older title) but I'd wager that the game is no longer profiting all that well on the Xbox, so if there's no more gold left in that mine, why not go somewhere else.
I'd much rather a halo 4 port tbh because i have a feeling if microsoft ports halo 3 it would be a simple port and no support post-launch since it is an older game and bungie isn't evolved in the patches. Where Halo 4 would atleast have a chance of support with 343.
That's why Halo2 servers are shutting down?
Over two years after the Xbox version did.
How people still play halo 3. Its been at 20,000 for a couple of years. And microsoft divided the players. I remember when halo reach just came out and for some reason it said 1 million people were playing halo 3. So i said to my self. WTF
The best multiplayer fun I had this gen.
if you like shooting things forever to kill it, sure. Most fun multiplayer games which over the years have been way better since early 2000+ Return to Castle Wolfenstein Soldier of Fortune 2 Left 4 Dead 2 Killing Floor Half Life 2 All tons better than overrated boring Halo games, especially in multiplayer. Personally i can't wait for Half Life 3 to be announced, i will upgrade my graphics card to a shiny 780 or 790 then, now that's worth waiting for.
^ In your opinion. lol
All those games you just listed (with maybe the exception of Half Life 2) are so beginner friendly. If you came across someone who knew what they were doing in Halo 3 as a beginner you had no chance. It was glorious. One of the last true games where you could win based on skill. Also it had one of the best ranking systems in modern online gaming. Skilful players level up, losers drop levels, none of this lame levelling up for time put into the game nonsense we have now.
If it's taken you forever to kill someone than you just suck. The game takes a lot of skill. You should stick to COD where a simple spray at the ankles will get you a kill.
loll better than waiting around the corner and killing ppl with 2 shots to the back. All the shooters that take a few shots to kill are basically hide and seek games. Whoever gets the first shot wins, lol no skill.
@ intentions, not opinion but fact. seriously.. Halo is crap, i played Halo 1 and 3 and found them utterly boring. There is no fun in them at all, they simply can't match up to Valve quality games. @ujean69, beginner friendly? are you serious? SOF2 was like Counter Strike, Killing Floor will kick your ass online at ANY beginner level on suicidal +. You don't know anything about the games i listed obviously. Also i prefer my games to be fun, not boring. But i can expect people to vote me down since they obviously love Xbox instead of a true FPS platform like PC. In the words of Duke Nukem, power armor is for pussies.. that is all ;)
You mention are greats, but halo is up there with them and its just the fact that its a console shooter that your giving it a hard time
I found soldier of fortune boring. PROVE ME WRONGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! see what i did there.
totally excited to see halo 3 in native 1080p with 8x aa, the game will look damn fine, damn fine on pc!
I'll be grabbing it as long as its $39.99 or less
Yeah, it will look good. And to be honest, it still looks damn good to me on xbox, despite people loving to bash its graphics. The particle effects, lighting and physics are superb.
i havent played halo since 2 , i prefer PS3 thats why i didnt buy the 360 but i would love to catch up on it on pc
on a good day, this has near the population of Halo 4
i think they wont add DX11 features or upgraded textures to the game it will be a simple port
There is the rumors going around that Microsoft have said it isnt going to happen, do you believe them? I think it would only be good for Microsoft to do this, lets be honest, the Xbox isnt that different from the PC, there wouldn't be that much work in all fairness.
