Adam Sessler just got his first hands-on with Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic PS3 exclusive: THE LAST OF US. Find out what he thought, and check out some brand new gameplay in this Rev3Games preview.
(PS3, The Last Of Us)
This games is gonna be amazing. I can't wait to see the other levels like the snowy one in the pictures. I also love the crafting. It seems pretty easy to do so you can go right in and kill some infected.
Nice rundown. The way Adam talks about the tense atmosphere, and the one hit kills from the clickers, reminds me of how I felt when I played Demon's Souls. Just this thick atmosphere of dread that saturates you the longer you stay in the game, the feeling you could die anywhere. Love it, heh.
Just glad Adam Sessler is back. Game looks amazing. Now the big crunch time starts because this is obviously alpha stage footage compared to the previous demo which was most likely in beta stage. Hope the GOW:A demo is this segment of the game.
@Logic Dont get me wrong it certainly doesnt look bad. But its just missing that Naughty dog polish and they got 3-4 months to do that. The content is done thats for sure so now its just focusing on stuff like the HUD,GFX and other stuff.
Looking at the video, I wouldn't have known that was alpha stage footage. If it can look better than that, it'd be rather impressive on ND's part. I'll def keep this game on my radar.
I share the same anxiety as adam on this, I'm afraid I won't be able to play it for extended periods of time as horror really stresses me out. If any developper can pull off the right pacing for the game to pull me through it's ND though.
ND bringing games back to what it should be. I am glad he said it's a challenge! This should repel iphone gamers un like dead space.
lol Splinter cell used to be stealth, RE & dead space used to be scary and now ps3 gamers get a stealthy horror game. nice.. This is what happens when profit is not the #1 goal ND are talented passionate devs.
