The Last of Us Preview: Surviving Horror | Shacknews

Andrew Yoon: ''Get bitten once, and it's game over. Fire a bullet from your gun without thinking, and you may find yourself overwhelmed, eaten alive by a horde of infected, attracted by the sound of the gunshot. Take too many punches, and you'll desperately search the environment, looking for anything that will heal you. For many gamers, this will sound like an absolute nightmare. For others (myself included), we've been looking for a return to classic survival horror. We want every bullet to matter, every encounter to be threatening, and we want to be scared, dammit.'' (PS3, The Last Of Us)

Amen~
I'm trying to get as much information on this game as I possibly could, this new Survival Horror element has certainly pulled a few heart strings, Finally something to live upto the Resident Evil & Silent Hill prime days.

After what happened with Resident Evil 6 and Dead Space 3 im dying for an incredible survival horror experience. Funny thing is i was never expecting for the survival horror genre to be rebooted by Naughty Dog.

I absolutely bet that after this game hits critically well and is praised left and right when release Capcom and more developers will take note and go back to the roots they left behind. Honestly ND is one of the TOP developers in the industry and this game shows why. Who would have thought ND would be bringing TRUE Survival Horror back to this Gen?

Yes without doubt ND is a big player this gen. Hopefully this will deliver from beginning to the end. Show capcom how it's done ND.

I always wanted a zombie game in which one bite equals death. It's such an integral part of what makes them so terrifying, knowing that you're a gonner should you stop paying attention long enough to get bitten once. Of course we could argue that these things are not zombies at all but at least they've got one of the most important features.
