The stages of infection in The Last of Us | Shack News

The Last of Us is a post-apocalyptic action adventure that has survivors fighting against zombie-like beings that Naughty Dog refers to as the 'Infected.' Although they featured heavily in the game's debut trailer, they've since taken a backseat. At a recent press event in Los Angeles, we finally had a chance to get our hands on the game--and fight these non-zombies. (PS3, The Last Of Us)

The Runner - is like something from 28 Day Later,
The Clicker - is something.. new, far worse than any Zombie or Crimson head, these things work in packs & one bite or scratch its Game Over.

YES!! This breeds challenge!

there is still stage 3 of the infected is yet to be showen which is much much worse

and what make this game ultra hard
is that one bite from any infacted will mean..game over

I cant at all imagine what Naughty Dog have in plan for stage 3. All I know is that its going to freak the crap out of me and all other TLOU players D:

The Clickers are stage 3 apparently, it's the second stage we don't know about.

This game has all around appeal and the graphics in motion (and not bs pre rendered shots companies tend to through out there to fool consumers) are going to be the new benchmark on consoles. I couldn't believe those graphics in the new game play video were coming from 7 year old tech. That cell in the Ps3 is a beast!!!!!
OVOXO_Mike  +   106d ago
It's not just the Cell that makes the graphics. It's all about the developers deciding how far to take the tech. If they are lazy, that's why you have repeated graphics game after game. But this is what you get when a developer is actually trying and wants to take advantage of the hardware.

This game is going to be greatness.. I love uncharted & everything but this seems much more fun & unique.. Day 1 despite any negative reviews (if there is any)

OvOxo...........

Of course its not just the cell that makes the graphics. Its common sense you need competent devs but the devs. need the tools necessary to make this magic ala "The Cell and Ps3 hardware"

You have competent devs on other hardware as well but none of those first party games look better than the top ps3 ips which include Kz, Uc, GOW etc..... all created by diff. devs.
