Far Cry 3: Deluxe Bundle DLC Review | El33tonline

Oliver at El33tonline writes:

"No-one would have accused Ubisoft of skimping on content for Far Cry 3. With hundreds of items to collect, dozens of side-missions to take part in, lots of equipment to craft, hours of singleplayer story missions to complete, a full-featured multiplayer offering and miles upon miles of tropical islands to explore, Far Cry 3 was packed with things to do and sights to see.

Although it seems the publisher was holding back, at least a little bit, and had even more content waiting in the wings for Far Cry 3 players to sink their time into with a host of exclusive downloadable content offered to those you pre-ordered the game, or bought the Insane Edition of the game. More recently, Ubisoft has collected all of that content together into the ‘Deluxe Bundle’ and put it up on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, the PlayStation Network and Steam for purchase." (Far Cry 3, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 4/5

My version is still holding back on a working online experience (PS3)!!

It's an absolute disgrace - 4 patches and multiplayer and comms still doesn't work.

The Deluxe extra content should be given away free to existing customers as an apology.

It's NOT a good deal at all, I've already bought the game once and the fact that these thieving suits are demanding more money to unlock on-disc content you already own, should be illegal by default. The very existence of this money grabbing trickery is possible because it seems like most gamers will blindly buy whatever game developers try to pass off as a good deal. These game developers must live by the mantra:"To hell with consumer protection." Just the fact that it actually exists and so few are negative about it, shows how gullible gamers have become.Just imagine if the car manufacturers suddenly decide to sell you a brand new car with key features like the air condition and cd/mp3 player locked. You see a message popping up in the display telling you these features cost extra. Think how many people would revolt, it would be a big public outcry in the world. But gaming is just for kids/teenagers, they have no real power to protest...so let's just milk them for every dollar they have. I want to punch the Ubisoft suits in the throats. I will never fork over €9.99 for a 200 kb unlock code on my PS3. If I had the PC version I would get that DLC content my own way. I paid full price for that game, all the content is mine. I've lost my respect for Ubisoft after seeing this on-disc DLC for this game.
