Opinion: Play & Pay - Expansive

Love it or hate it, the micro-transaction model in Dead Space 3 is a fascinating move for one of 2013′s biggest releases, and while it’s not the first console title to adopt such a model, it’s the first time its been allowed to have such a direct impact on the overall experience.

Honestly, that’s not as bad as it might sound. (Dead Space 3, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

It's quite nice to for once see the first comment on a Dead Space 3 article read something pleasantly optimistic rather than a complaint about the inclusion of completely optional and quite trivial microtransactions and a couple levels featuring a few gun toting Unitologists, a grievance over the DLC suits and weapons the likes of which were available to download in the previous 2 games, or something that says the game will be garbage with the primary reason for which cited only as "EA."
I too am looking forward to picking up my copy on Tuesday.
