Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Review | Lead Example

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is developed by Level 5. You may have noticed it looks a bit like something Studio Ghibli would make? Well that’s exactly the thing, Studio Ghibi did have a very big part in this game. For those of you who are fans of their stuff, you’ll definitely like this game then. (Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, PS3) 10/10

Digimon Adventure for the PSP is my favorite so far but Ni No Kuni is awesome.

The best JRPG this gen in my opinion.
I know that comment is going to annoy a lot of people but I haven't played a JRPG like this since Dragon Quest VIII and Dark Chronicle.
Just gives me that excited feeling of where the journey will take me next and I haven't felt that in a JRPG in a very long time.

You should try Tales of Vesperia and Xenoblade Chronicles. For me these were the best JRPGs this gen. There are other good ones as well, like Lost Odyssey, Tales of Graces F, Persona 4 Golden. You should try them! They all gave me that feeling you are talking about!

And lets not forget Ni No Kuni ofc, and the upcoming Tales of Xillia :)

I've played Tales Of Vesperia, Xenoblade Chronicles, Lost odyssey and Tales of Graces F.
An none of those games really did anything for me.
They're all great games and I liked Lost Odyssey and Tales of Vesperia the most out of those games but I always felt like something was missing.
I know those games have a ton of fans and people that think they are amazing but Ni No Kuni has just clicked with me.
I'm still waiting for Persona 4 EU release and I will definitely be looking at Tales of Xillia.

Brilliant game. If you own a PS3 and like RPGs, you'd be a fool to not play this.

Alot of people don't like Jrpgs though... Not really fools not to play it.

It's sold out in all my local shops so I can't get it yet. Or I could download it but i'm using that space for other stuff.

Didn't disagree btw

Most fans of RPG's don't get PS3's for western RPG's

Everyone should own all consoles imo! Great games all round :) Just buy them all!!! And if you are still at school, well.... the consoles have been around for a few years now.... even with 1 console every xmass, you should have them all by now! ;P

If not... well.... Your Doing It Wrong !!!!

With all the rave reviews and sales this game is getting, I'm quite positive that Level 5 will have to create another game collaborating with Studio Ghibli. This is how a JRPG is done. I just hope Square Enix is taking notes.

The problem is that it surprisingly suffered from poor sales in Japan.
Godchild1020  +   805d ago
It suffered in Japan due a version of the game being released on the DS a year before the PS3 version.

It's unfortunate that it didn't sell well in Japan, because I think everyone should play it at least once. I gave it a 92/100 on canadianonlinegamers.com

He nailed it with that comment. Just another casualty of the portable gaming dominance in Japan.

yea DS version isnt even the same game it was reworked remade on the ps3 and only half the content as the ps3 version ive never played the DS version but i would think nother problem would be the DS couldnt give u the emerson with its poor visuals and tiny screen thats dominate facter
