Ryan McBride of GamerGrub takes a look at Sleeping Dogs and explains why he feels the game is one of the strongest titles from 2012.
I was just playing it recently. This truly is an entertaining game with a rather good storyline. I recommend all those who enjoy open world games to give it a shot. Trust me you'll come out thinking "wow why did i skip this sleeper hit?"
It was ok but I would not not call it a sleeper hit. While it did take the best parts from Saints Row and Grand Theft and combined into one game it still lacked anything that would set it apart from SR and GTA. I was really expecting this game to be like Shenmue but improved on what we would have expected from Shenmue 2 but after graduating from a messenger boy to a crime boss I felt that the game did not have much to offer. Edit: It was a nice first attempt by the developers but hope they get a bigger budget next time...also the music it the game did not help, understand that its not a game based in America but Asian music did not do it for me.
this games was originaly true crimes but activision cancelled it and square asked if they could continue it but they had to use a different name use a search engine to find out
Good thing I didnt miss this sleeper hit the story was amazingly entertaining and the whole package with gameplay was brilliant.
For a second I thought this was for SCEA :(
Title should be "Free For PS+ Members", not "PSN Players". How did this get approved?
Yeah and it should also say "EU PS+ players"
Eu only? Shit. /-:
I thought Europe PS+ got this free last month.
Great game. Top 3 of 2012, IMO. Enjoy it.
Easily one of the most entertaining games I played last year.
Must play!!! One of the better open world crime games to come out in a long time. I'm a GTA fan but this was better than GTA4. Better gameplay and better story. Just a few minor things here and there needed to make this game a masterpiece. Can't wait for the sequel.
lol my friend was about to buy till I told him that is coming to ps plus earlier this week.
I bought it at retail price and it was one of the best games I played in 2012.Shame it got mostly overlooked by the general public.Anyway,I'm surprised that this got released so soon for PSN+ members, usually the games are older than a year old.I hope something other than SD also comes for us PSN+ users...haven't downloaded anything this month.
