The Grand Theft Auto V Delay Should Make You Happy

"Ah yes, Grand Theft Auto V, the latest installment of the much-beloved and much-vilified Grand Theft Auto series. Thursday was a tough day for fans of the series (at this point, who isn’t considered a fan of the series with their sales numbers?) as the title, which was originally slated for a Spring of 2013 release date, got pushed all the way back to September 20th, 2013, pushing it back from Q1/Q2 all the way back to Q3 of this year. " | Explosion.com (Grand Theft Auto V, PC, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360)

Same here...
... just release it when it's done and all polished up, and I'll pick it up.

I'm happy that they aren't shoving it out of the door just to meet a deadline, but really want to take their time to make it the best as they can before releasing it.

I'm a patient guy. Also, I'm kinda hoping it will also be released this fall for next-gen consoles (launch-title) in glorious HD.

It will be in HD on ps3 anyway

It's a bitter sweet ordeal for me.
On the plus side it wont drop during the middle of my spring semester(assuming the March 24th date was the initial launch date).
But on the negative side, it will now drop during the beginning of my fall semester.

Me to. I've never cared how long it takes R* to release their games. More polish. Plus the day after is my B-Day so I'm pretty sure I already know what I want :D

Yes I am not sad about this information. I rather have the time so I can play my other titles.

I for one am pleased that there are still some developers out there prepared to delay their games in order to make them better. The number of IPs that are pushed out unfinished nowadays is disgusting - yeah, I'm looking at you, EA... *cough* Battlefield 3 *cough* Medal of Honor

I am also pleased with the publisher (Take Two) who is willing to give more time to devs, instead of sacrificing quality over the shareholders' mood. It's like Ken Levine said with their delay of Bioshock Infinite.

At least we have a release date. Lets just hope it's not gonna get delayed again.

My copy is already paid for at GameStop. So, when all the big releases hit this Fall, I at least have peace of mind knowing that the biggest of them is already paid for, but I'd rather have had the game this Spring, because I'll have plenty of other stuff to play at the end of the year.. and more than likely, on a new console, at that.

if Vice City feeling = buy else = no_buy

I wonder if the delay will allow a PC version to come out at the same time.

As long as the game will be available for pick up this year, I'm happy. Better than it releasing never.

This is good because it lets the wii u sales go up and they will possibly make a wii u version they have all the ttime in the world
