5 Features I Want To See on the PlayStation 4

The rumors are flying about the PlayStation 4 coming this year and the excitement is building for Fall 2013. There is no evidence of the platform existing at this moment but next month, PlayStation will be holding an event during February 20th and they have told us that on this day, we will “see the future.” In anticipation for a possible announcement, here are “5 Features I Want To See on the PlayStation 4.”

I'm pretty sure Sony will add a PS2 emulation for there new console. Face it, the whole point of Sony not adding emulation on the PS3 is because of two things:

1) To keep the PS2 selling (at the time)
2) To cash in on remastered HD versions

Sure, at first it was to keep the costs low, but once they started rolling those HD collections, I knew emulation would never show up on there newer models.

Now that most 1st party PS2 HD games have been out, I don't see as to why Sony shouldn't bother adding emulation on the PS4 since whoever truly wanted said games in HD would had already purchased them for there PS3.

PSX games are easily emulated so that's a given, PS2 games sounds believable imo. PS3 emulation? No. Pretty sure the PS3 will rapidy fall in price to $200 then have a nice sweet spot at $150 for the course of the PS4's life.

listen it matters not if they have backwards compatibility or not to me weather its there or not the ps4 will be a monster. i would want them to take all that money that it would take to put in backwards compatibility and just just use it to increase my ps4 experience. no matter what happens i will have one at launch. next gen starts when . . .

ps1/2/3 emaluation please even if it means bumping up the price just have a two tier modelling system like cars do one with all the specs and one with less.

Also keep physical media and finally keep a free psn service for people.

I actually really like the last point about voice recognition, imagine playing Mass effect and having to speak you decision lines. That'd be awesome, putting your own twist on it which could alter the way the characters facial expression is presented onscreen.

But I think something like that would be a bit too advanced to put into a $400 console at this stage.. Oh how a boy can dream.. :/

That would be more a software thing, so I don't see why you couldn't make it happen in the future as long as there is a mic.

Not sure if I'd like having to say the lines though...wife will start giving me funny looks.

i dont need ps2 bc as the games that were good on the ps2 are getting HD collections and remakes for 20-30 bucks you get 3-4 ps2 games with updated HD grapihics, trophys, small enhacments or slight game modification in some areas to make it better. instead of swapping through 3-4 game discs to replay your old ps2 games that probably dont work you have one sleek blueray disc with all the games on one disc. Most people dont even have them old ps2 games in the first place and im not gonna be giving gamestop money for used games.

you want to play gta vice city? just grab the 5.99 edition off the psn in digital format so u dont even need to swap discs and clutter up your room. screw bc all them old games dont even have online son. Ps4 is a new era new generation baby! lets get the new stuff!
FFX HD, okami HD, Kingdom hearts remix HD definitive version that U.S didnt even get. sly collection HD, ratchet and clank collection, Shadow of the collossus collection. I have a ps2 and some of these games but i was like its time to get the difinitive best versions with HD and trophys and i havent even scratched the surfaces.

Half of that stuff is already on the 360.

I want some sort of motion control out the box. I am not buying any systems that dont have some sort of motion control system standard. At least not at launch.

Definitely BC with upscaling thats a good one.

I want a good OS something that really ties everything together and makes it a more cohesive experience.

STABLE FINISHED GAMES. no lag, clipping, screen tearing, framerate drops. texture pop in, any other pop ins and glitches get better servers for online games also no dlc on release date. If developers want more people playing there games online they need to scrap online passes EA wanted to take call of duty crown with battlefield 3 then went and added online passes and big dlc add-on on release WHAT A JOKE.
