5 Next-Gen Gaming Trends to Discuss

PlayStation Euphoria writes - "With the Next-gen coming upon us it is important to discuss some big gaming trends that may have an effect on the way we game throughout this next generation! Keep in mind that these are not trends I agree or disagree with but rather subjects to start discussing and bear in mind as we reach the dawn of the next generation of gaming! Here we go!" (Dev, Industry, Next-Gen, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox One)

There will also be an on-going battle between Sony and Samsung on whose format will be the first to go down in price to capture consumers ( Sony with 4K versus Samsung with OLED - although Sony actually was the first to introduce OLED.. their stumbling block the longevity of the blue pixel's life span which Samsung is now dealing with ).

So tempting, but I refuse to do anymore speculating based on the (lack of) information we currently have.

See ya'll on the 20th :-P

PS4/720 won't do 4k. Not nearly enough power. PS4/720 is basically 2x or a bit more than a Wii U.

They're basically a GTX 560ti inside. No way in hell is that powerful enough to run next gen dx11 style games at 4k resolution. Depending how much of the eye candy they put in 1080p might not always be the case.

4k is next next gen.
