Why is everyone expecting changes. It is a HD remake. I think the art style change is just a natural consequence of making this game HD (like you said make it more HD). Apart from that it will be the same game. Some bugs and gameplay flaws will be tweaked but the game will not change because this is just a HD remake. This is just to fill the gap (Nintendo said this themselves). They are not going to much time because they might as well make a Wind Waker sequel

Because they explicitly said they're going to change some parts of the game.

Actually the original had more of a flat style on the charracters. Giving it a cartoonish look. While in this version the shaders are completely different. In fact it looks like they used some of Mario galaxies shaders on the characters.

It's not a one on one remake, it has noticable changes.

Perhaps speed up the boat when the wind is right behind you to make travel slightly less tedious.
Make the enemies do more damage to increase the challenge that was lacking in the original.
Add in the dungeons scrapped from the original.
Make the triforce shard section less tedious.
I love Wind Waker and had actually begun replaying it when I heard about the remake, so I instantly stopped.
