Kingdom Under Fire 2 - PC Is Main Development Platform, Will Feature Crossplay Between PS3 and PC

Probably for the same reason Dust 514 on the 360 got cancelled. Microsoft isn't very fond of opening up too much its online service to third parties. That's probably what these developers wanted.

..and I believe this was originally announced as x360 exclusive. I totally forgot this game even existed. It's been in development for years it seems. Hope to see it soon, the first one was great.

The game looks stunning I'm rather excited, the x-play feature will be great this is the main feature that will keep Sony strong for years and Microsoft really need to let the dog off of the lead now and then, they are holding back developers by being so apple about stuff

I see people say this a lot....I don't think you're really thinking things through. It would be worse than N4G, with all the fanboy garbage you'd have to deal with over chat. Wouldn't be worth it, IMO. Sometimes, segregation is a GOOD thing. :o

One day it will happen. Just a matter of time. Different platforms, but games themselves are building their own platforms now its just early stages with special acheivements and pages like Autolog, battlelog, and RE 6, AC3's system.

At some point I expect at least console syncing with players on two platforms by say logging into Origin/Steam with your PSN/XBL account and then seeing your Steam/Origin list pop up with friends and chat features to them over all sides of the networks. :)

Steam and Origin are only 2 things at the moment that could build into this, but I suspect Uplay from Ubisoft and other setups could happen and push for this as well. As it would require a 2ndary login to access a different backbone other than Sony or Microsoft on both sides. I think personally its a secret plan that developers actually want. As their games would actually last much longer this way with more players to play with you couldn't get bored.

Say typically a multiplayer game you love has run its course and less people play now so it takes 10 minutes to find a game through matchmaking. Say the same game on the other console platform has lots of players that still play it. If they were connected then it would take less time to find a match and enjoy a game. This will never happen with Sony and Microsoft doing it. So it has to have a 2ndary platform that both sides can sign into.
