Metal Gear Rising Limited Edition not Zavvi exclusive after all?
European Metal Gear fans thinking of purchasing Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Limited Edition are probably aware that this edition is exclusive to UK retailer Zavvi.com. But is it really exclusive to this store?
(Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, PS3, Xbox 360)
While I agree this edition is a bit too expensive, the figure you get with it is pretty large and really high quality. They cost 60 dollars when you buy them separately. But yeah, I still think the price is a little too steep.
I'm not complaining that it isn't high quality, it looks it, so I'll not disagree with you there but the point is we get inferior things and we have to pay more
It's like the Last of Us edition, we get a small comic, artbook, no steelbook and no statue,
Even the Ni No Kumi wizards edition is missing the extra things in the US edition.
£99 for a figure, err are you forgetting about the game or something? Like Nyxus says, it'll be sold separately for around £50-£60 so it's not really a rip off.
But the fact we pay MORE and get LESS then the US for example is a p**** take. It's not like some pre order bonus where you can go "Better then nothing" but if you paying good money for a CE you'd at least want a nice looking Steel book or art book.
Steel books are also good since you can sell them separately in the future for more money AS WELL as the toy/figure you got with it.
@Root: I dig that but we usually get pretty good collectors editions nowadays, before we'd get barely anything. If you're in the UK you can get the GAME.co.uk edition and get a steelbook, or if you're on PS3 just import the US / Japan edition if you prefer that one.
Yeah I know but if I bought the GAME version and then bought the Zavvi one that's like £130 give or take while America pays £93 roughly and gets everything included.
Not fair at the end of the day
We don't get good CE most of the time, usually it's for games hardly anyone gives a crap about or the goods ones once in a blue moon
You could just not buy the collector's edition. If the contents aren't worth it to you then it's up to you to spend your money wisely. If our situations were reversed I wouldn't be complaining, I just wouldn't buy the collector's edition of the game.
With all collector's editions, I find some of them to be worth the extra money, and some are just laughable. The only ones I spend money on are the ones that are worth the money TO ME.
The difference in price is often due to a heavy taxes, so there is little room to profit. I know, cause I do business in Europe and man it's like communism compared to the US.
I tried to order it from Zavvi and they will not ship it to the US. Just this game. It's kind of funny because I hate the lamp and want the figure and you want the lamp.
We want your editions and you guys want ours, which I don't understand since ours are usually inferior.
Then most of you guys will say how we get the good editions when really we don't...to you it just appears that we get good editions because you want them.
EDIT:
I wouldn't be surprised if in the future most people start doing that
People already do it on the Collectors edition forums.
@ Root: Yeah, I see what you mean. In the case of Rising, I really prefer the Japanese limited edition, that is the best looking version if you ask me, and the US one is very expensive as well.
Pay £99 for a figure
£6 more expensive then the USA version and they get a cool looking lamp, a soundtrack, a steel book etc
If we got a steel book then fine but we don't so why pay more for just a figure.

If you get my point
