Dead Space 3 | Feel Isaac Clarke's Pain

EA writes:

'Necromorphs aren't the only hardship Isaac Clarke has to deal with in the Dead Space series. He also needs to contend with blasting through space experiencing extreme temperatures, no atmosphere and high G-Force, which is not as easy as Isaac makes it look.

Matt visited the centrifuge at QinetiQ, London; a 60 foot diameter rig built in the 1950s, to test the effects of space travel on his squishy innards.

He also chatted to Alec Stevenson, senior scientist at QinetiQ, who explained what high G-Force does to the human body. When the centrifuge accelerates, delivering up to 9gz, it increases Matt's body's weight until it feels three times as heavy. Blood, as a fluid, will head south towards his feet as the weight increases. This means that his eyes will be deprived of both blood and oxygen, so elements of his vision, including the ability to see colour and peripheral vision, will be gradually lost. If it goes on long enough, he would eventually lose consciousness.' (Dead Space 3, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
