Nintendo Financials Reveal Wii U Sales

IGN: Nintendo's Q3 financial results show the firm return to profitability after a rocky 2011-12 financial year, but its full-year profit estimates have been revised downwards due to lower-than-expected sales. Nintendo still expects to post a profit, though, as the Euro and the dollar have recovered against the yen. (Nintendo, Wii U)

LOL! Dropping your software sales by 33%! Nintendo has got to be feeling it.

It will be interesting when the PS4 and next Xbox come out. The only real system doing well seems to be the DS family. All others have dropped year over year and Sony has also lowered its forecast in sales for Vita.

SOFTWARE! They need some major third and first-party support. I'm not saying that they had a bad software line-up, but they need to keep dropping games month after month and in between those months, they need to drop some first and third-party exclusives. Bottom line, Nintendo needs Mario Kart, SSM, Bayonetta 2, The Wonderful 101, Monster Hunter, Rayman, X, etc... in order to get out of this funk they're in!
