The two top men leading development on Naughty Dog's The Last of Us have spoken of the pressure they felt being responsible for creating another hit franchise from the Uncharted developer.
In Naughty God I trust.
Well they've done it.
That is the issue with Naughty Dog. Everyone expects a perfect game which could be their downfall. I am looking forward to this game but I am not getting aboard the hype train as I know what it does to good games. I would advise everyone to do the same.
Exactly just look at uncharted 3. I for one did get let down but that was because I absolutely LOVED uncharted 2 and expected a lot from Drakes Deception. However I think the last of us does look like a promising title. The atmosphere, characters and story look amazing. The trailers alone are really immersing. Can't wait for it.
I loved Uncharted 3, Though Uncharted 2 probably was a greater game because It was such an improvement over the first game and The last few missions of Uncharted 3 seemed a little rushed. But after playing Uncharted 3, going back to Uncharted 2 kind of seemed like a downgrade gameplay wise, But Uncharted 2 did have a better story. But more on topic, I agree that we should'nt over hype a game to avoid dissapointment. But I do think Naughty Dog can pull it off.
say that to ND, they're hyping this game like crazy themselves saying stupid things like owning the surviving action genre, revolutionize and change the industry and that the game will have the best story ever told you can Google them, it's ridicules
No one can take your comment seriously because you, for whatever reason, hate Naughty Dog. Go play some Halo 4 and get off the internet kid.
Damn you Naughty Dog for wanting people to buy your game. Hey you! Yeah you, Bruce Straley! get on your knees and beg j-blaze for forgiveness for promoting your game. Stop having ambitions for Christ's sake and most of all stop sharing your creative vision. Dayum son!
Remember when Naughty Dog made colorful games? I miss those days. I'm pretty sick of the laggy controls featured in what is essentially a movie where you sometimes need to hide behind walls.
laggy controls? movie? huh u can skip the cutscreens and adjust the control sensitivity and dont try 2 bs me i played the first 2 uncharteds with no internet connection = 0 patches raw out of the box and they played great ive beat all 3 on as hard as it gos.....
Not laggy as in online lag that feeling you have when you hit a button and unlike in say.. Mario when you hit jump the jump doesn't feel like it's coming out immediately it all feels like slow motion the animation is so long and so canned it literally feels like you've lost control a lot of the time. I only played Uncharted 1 I'll admit but man was that boring, do stupid puzzle shoot brown people watch cutscene repeat I loved the story I just groaned everytime they made me play the game.
Ehm, and Uncharted isn't colourful?
@Smahbro I could kind of see where you were coming from as I'm a huge fan of Naughty Dogs older games (Uncharted is still a very "colorful" game) but then you started talking about laggy controls and it should be more like......Mario........and your username is Smashbro29......all credibility lost.
The Naughty Godz created the best new IP this gen in the Uncharted series so we all know they will create another hit franchise with The Last of Us. No pressure.
Its hard to not hype this game up.
Three and a half years in the making, they started right after UC2...I have a feeling we won't be disapointed. And I can only imagine what the other team is up to. A new IP for PS4, or 'just' Uncharted 4. Pay-em a little extra Sony, keep-em happy & smiling.
Beware of a spoiler in the link. Beautiful artwork, but the description of Joel gives information about his background.
