Yeah I really think people who quit should be locked out of online play for an hour or something. The trouble with fifa in particular is its the sort of game that attracts teenage boys who haven't grown up enough yet to accept they can't win at everything in life and learn to accept defeat sometimes, rather than throwing a tantrum and disconnecting.
I remember having to win 300+ games instead of the required 100 to unlock a trophy on FIFA 11 because every time someone quit, it gave you the win but it didn't actually count it as a proper win!
Surprisingly, PES 2013 has been really enjoyable and free from rage quitters this year. I've played well over 200 games online and must have less than 10 people disconnect during that time, even if you're 4-0 up. I think it's to do with Konami's courtesy system which seems to have worked, bizarrely. I wrote about it here if anyone's interested on leaving FIFA's babies behind. - http://www.awesomegames.co....
Sounds good I may give it a go. I don't play fifa on line unless im playing mates because of the quitting issues ive had for a few years. I often have it where I will lose the 1st game have them a rematch and if they are getting beat they will quit.
This is nothing new, people have been quitting games since the launch of xbox live, and ps2 network. Its the main reason i quit playing sports games, and the fact that EA charges $60 a game for new skins every year
and can't complete the trophy..
