Could a Co-op Story Mode in Grand Theft Auto V Ever be as Good as Saints Row?

One could wonder if one of the contributing factors to not focusing attention on cooperative game play in the story of the next installment to the Grand Theft Auto series could have something to do with how much their greatest competitors, Saints Row, set attention on cooperative story and game play. (Grand Theft Auto V, PC, PS3, Saints Row 2, Saints Row: The Third, Xbox 360)

I do not want a dumb AI running all around with me when i play GTA V so a coop story in the game cant ever be as good as Saints Row. In Saints Row if you do not have a coop friend there is no one there with you so it doesnt damper the game. There would only be two options for GTA because there is no create a player and i dont want an AI nor do I want my friend to be the same character as me.

Looking forward to seeing how GTA V will fulfill my coop needs without a coop story tho.

no co-op in GTA and i like it to stay that way. RS knows how to deliver a story.

SR is different its like a buddy movie meets jackass the movie meets the practical jokers.

2 different games both targeting 2 different audiences, as a open world gamess fan i love the fact now we have more than one good open world games

iu also hope there is a future for sleeping dogs IP too

Co-ops can be really hit or miss for me. I've never played it on Saints Row 2 and 3 though.

You should try it out when you get a chance, it could really suck some hours out of your day x) Great game but even better with a friend.

That would never happen.

The best thing to do is make the co op optional were if i were to play alone there wouldn't be a dumb ai following me.

As long as it has a free open map, as well as just selectable parts of the map for play only will be fine.

I just want a significant step from GTA IV which was bland, if a mod team can make a multiplayer for San Andreas that's tons of fun with a huge amount of players then i don't see why R* can't do as good or even a better job than that.

All it needs is scriptable game modes so people can make their own like Cops n Robbers in SAMP, imagine having modes like that where you can go robbing shops and trying to evade the police team while in a heli/car/whatever with other team mates. Well you can do that already in SAMP but imagine how good it'd be if R* did it with V. it has so much potential for a huge MP experience on PC, i just hope it doesn't end up as bad as IV's.

I loved the co-op in Saints row 3. I hardly felt the lag and thats actually one of the reasons I prefer the saints row series to the GTA.

I just hope there's more then 3 co-op missions this time. That airport level got boring quick.
