WC: Now that Christmas is more than a month in the past, I believe it to be acceptable to moan and complain about what you did and didn’t get. Seriously, it’s okay now. With that being said, you all probably have a list of things that you were hoping to find under your tree, whether it be an iPad, the complete series of Lost on Bluray, or a highly coveted Shake-Weight. I’m here to tell you that all of those cravings and sought-for items aren’t what you need to be wishing for. No. Instead, my friends, you should have asked dear old Santa Claus for Nintendo’s newest home console, the Wii U.
Not convinced? Don’t worry: I’ll tell you why the Nintendo’s confusing little system should make its way into your home as soon as possible. Here are my top 10 reasons as to why the Nintendo Wii U should be the apple of your eye.
I have plent of games to play on my Wiiu right now but am really looking forward to Lego City , Rayman Legends , Aliens colonial marines and Monster Hunter Ultimate.
Those games will earn my wiiu legendary status !
I'm thinking Summer would be a good time.
Maybe if it were the first gaming console with a browser, and PCs, tablets, and smartphones weren't so prevalent, you might have a point.
As it stands, my PS3, Vita, PC, laptop, and phone ALL have browsers. I would NOT be buying a Wii U for the web browser.
NOT bothering to look through however many pages they put the stupid list on, since they're doing that one-item-per-page crap. If it were me- and this IS talking about why I need to get one- then there's only one reason:
GAMES.
That is an area in which the Wii U is improving. Bayonetta 2 was, until Nintendo Direct, the only thing really interesting me. But with the addition of SMTxFire Emblem, and Project X(it remains to be seen whether or not this is truly Xenoblade 2, so I won't be calling it such) and the level of gaming I'm likely to get out of those, my interest has gone up considerably.
I've never been the biggest fan of Mario, NEVER played a Zelda game, not too interested in Metroid or StarFox. Frankly put: even as a kid, Nintendo's first party stuff wasn't all THAT appealing to me. And it's like Microsoft's situation with the 360: if the main staples of their IPs haven't interested me yet, new iterations of the same aren't likely to change that.
But some of the things I'm seeing are changing that. Interesting that Nintendo's doing with a brand new console that's just months old what Microsoft isn't, despite having a much larger library.
Edit:
@pedro: which part is a troll? The part where I don't automatically love a system that's just now starting to amass games I like?
@bully: None of that means anything to me. The Wii U is late to the party on the browser front. It's not the best browser out there, and it wouldn't be a reason all by itself to buy the system, regardless. So no, it's NOT a reason every human should want it.
Sorry. Well, I'm not.
Logic (and good reasons) can not change the gamers minds lol...
