Konami 'seriously considered' Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate for Vita

Pocket Gamer's Mark Brown writes: "Konami 'seriously considered' releasing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate on PS Vita, but decided to keep the side-scrolling adventure a 3DS exclusive. Why? Well, it's all down to the Vita's pesky two-dimensional screen". (Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, PS Vita)

I wish you good luck Konami for this Castlevania 3DS outing. Same for all the 3ds owners, hope you enjoy the game...

Hopefully the Vita gets some love this year(I'm crossing my fingers for a fantastic E3 announcements) as this beast is meant to be unleashed....

Ya because of 3D? People who own a 3ds almost do not use 3d ( I have a 3DS and i dont use it). Money talks ;) I do not want to be an A$* but i think sony really need to throw some money to developers.

but obviously that is not how Sony operate...

titles that made it huge on PlayStation like Resident evil, Metal Gear Solid, Monster Hunter, Castlevania Final Fantasy, were used as leverage to earn lots of money from Nintendo and M$ ... yet Sony does't give spit.

Maybe they do but they aren't as desperate as Microsoft or Nintendo. Just an assumption.

Lately some of these excuses or business decisions to not at least port a 3DS game to the Vita is getting ridiculous.

First we have Capcom with RE:Revelations saying the game is better on the big screen (than what was the point of making it on the 3DS than?), now we have Konami with the game is better in 3D? Doesn't a lot of people hate 3D?

Why not just come out & say it was target audience, or the system is not profit viable at the moment, something like that. If these 3rd party developers are more truthful than maybe Sony will think about a price drop.

If the Vita ends up selling better in the near future then a port isn't out of the question. Or they may even get their own, original Castlevania exclusive to the system. I'd wager Vita-only owners would prefer the latter anyway.
