The Blockheads' David Frampton Outlines Update Plans

John Bedford (Modojo): In an update on The Blockheads forums (spotted by Pocket Gamer), developer David Fampton has revealed that the blockbuster free-to-play game has now been downloaded 3.5 million times since launch earlier this month. (iPad, iPhone, The Blockheads)

Really nice game. But the free to play model kills it for me.

If the dev added an IAP to 'unlock' the game (i.e. remove need for the gem things to speed up building, and made the build time sensible) I'd snap it up. I'd pay the same for this unlock as for Minecraft on iOS... £4.99

As it stands I have paid zero in to this game and it's become a chore to craft anything without spending money.
