Nintendo Book Hyrule Historia is Amazon’s Bestseller, Plus Page Breakdown of Each Game

"Nintendo is releasing a 279-page book that will be published by Dark Horse Books, that will tell the history of the Legend of Zelda. Called Hyrule Historia, the hardcover is scheduled to be released tomorrow (January 29th) in various online retailers and anywhere books are sold." (3DS, Nintendo DS, The Legend of Zelda, Wii, Wii U)

I preordered this thing months ago. I can't believe it comes out today. I should have mine delivered within the next day or two. Very excited to pour over it.

Just got mine in the mail.

It's... cool enough, I suppose. 1/4 of it is dedicated solely to Skyward Sword, 1/4 is dedicated to the manga, 1/4 is dedicated to cataloging how the art style has evolved over the past 25 years, 1/4 is the Hyrule Timeline.

I mean, it's not disappointing per se, and I really appreciate all of the art in it, but I would have really liked to have seen more background material--more background on how the games were made and conceived, and things like that. You know, more nonfiction elements.

Oh: and the thing is huge. 12 inches wide, 18 inches long.
