Battlefield 3 servers down today, some US servers being retired

The Battlefield 3 console servers are going offline for an estimated eight hours today, with plans to migrate servers and end server rentals in certain US regions. (Battlefield 3, PS3, Xbox 360)

The amount of players that keep playing after release drops quickly. I mean look at Halo 4. Ghost town.

BF3 was in the top 10 most played Xbox game last week, so no, it's not a ghost town. Especially when even more players are playing on PS3 and a significant amount on PC.
