Just downloaded the demo of DS3, having never played a DS game before I'm pretty impressed with this, there's a few annoying camera views but on the whole the demo looks awesome.

Is it worth pickin up the other 2?

Dead Space 1 is the best,DS2 is more action orientated and DS3 its already a TPS game,to answer your question, yes its worth it,right now its the best horror game, well at least DS1 is

Cheers Chucky2003, will pick up DS1 and give it a go

I agree with Chucky2003.
To tell you the truth, DS2, 3 are shit. So if you think 3 is great, pick up DS1 for a real treat!

This is all my opinion though. I know some people really liked DS2. It is just not the direction I would have gone.

no, there was nothing wrong with DS2. Have you played it yet? Nothing changed except the scope of the game, new enemies, new and awesome guns, and less linear than DS1. Yes DS1 was had a great atomosphere inside a massive ship, but making a sequel on ANOTHER ship rather than a colony like it did, would have been redundant. It expanded everything and for the better.

Now Dead Space 3? Complete change.
Human Enemies
Weapon Crafting
Crouching/dodging
Co-op
Ice Planet like Lost Planet
And they kept the sh!tty multiplayer
