Why I want Ninja Theory to reboot Resident Evil

OXM - This isn't just an article, dear reader. It's a psychological rendezvous, a crossing of the ways 'twixt those who haven't played a Devil May Cry game (or at least, not in real depth) prior to Ninja Theory's DmC reboot, and those whose hands have been cramped into fleshy sickles by the strain of tackling Devil May Cry 3 on Heaven or Hell difficulty.

The story is too old to be commented.

We want the franchise to be good again....not worse

Exactly, NT aren't bad devs (though maybe a little arrogant) but they just aren't cut out take the reigns of a franchise like RE and give it a worth while reboot.

I'd have agreed before Resident Evil 6 came out, but frankly, I think Capcom's dug itself into a hole with Resi - they badly need to enlist a team who aren't encumbered by preconceptions about the franchise's scale and importance, a team that'll just settle for making a great game.

Whether that team is Ninja Theory is another debate, of course :p

I think Ninja Theory may perform better with a game like Haunting Ground because the Clock Tower series is pretty much dead now which means more freedom to experiment.
