Can 2013 Save Nintendo?

Brodie from DC writes: Nintendo Direct is the regular bi-monthly fixture that Reggie fans rely on to catch a glimpse of their golden idol. And even though Reggie was absent on this occasion, it’s hard to scoff at an appearance from Nintendo’s man-in-charge, Satoru Iwata. Nintendo Direct is a chance to get caught up on all things happening from within Nintendo’s fortress headquarters. Those that adopted their very own Wii U back in November have had little more than the launch range to deal with and by now, must be wondering about what else was in the pipeline. (3DS, Nintendo, Wii, Wii U)

If Ninty knew there will only be a few games for the rest of 2013, why did they launch Wii U last Nov, 2012?

Did they plan to be relying on multi-platform games for the PS3 and 360 for the Wii U's entire life cycle and not the PS4 or Nextbox?

If so, its a sign that the PS3 & 360 may be still be getting lots of games at least for the next 2-4 years?

Does Nintendo even need saving? They aren't doing bad, or at least not bad enough for anyone to be overly concerned.

2013 is looking like a good year for Ninty, the Nintendo Direct offered a little transparency towards what they intend to do in the coming months, but I doubt they haven't got a few suprises in store for later this year, lets not count them out yet.

Nintendo are by far the most successfull Company in the industry. Nintendo dwarfes The playstation Sector and Xbox division.

Even in the Gamecube era , they sold 90,000,000 GBA's and Made profit off every gamecube sold. They were successful back then and they are even more successful now having dominated the Industry with DS and Wii. And now they've invested a lot of money into 3DS and Wiiu and made THEIR FIRST EVER LOSS LAST YEAR and they need saving ?

People , please wake up. If Nintendo need ''saving'' then Sony need putting out of their misery cus they're in 10 times worse of a situation than Nintendo.

Nintendo has enough capital in the bank to fail this generation and the one after that and the one after that.

But with Pokemon X and Y on the way the 3DS is gunna take off , BIG TIME and When these wiiu games arrive the wiiu is gunna take off big time.

If you're somehow not clever enough to see this reality , then you know nothing about the industry.

I can't count how many times I've seen the words Nintendo, 3DS, Wii U, Sony or PS Vita and "SAVE" in a headline on this site.

Are you rating articles or counting? I think I saw you write 7 on a none too positive Zelda article.
