Ni No Kuni casts a wicked charm spell on players and critics alike.
I hope this game sells really well, i want more games like this for the rest of this gen as well as whatever is next, meanwhile I'm enjoying my time with it so far. :)
Seeing as some places have had it out of stock, it should be doing good. Loving the game so far, hopefully everyone gets a chance to enjoy it.
Well deserved, too. This is definitely up there as my top 5 RPG games of all time. The story is a bit kiddy, but not in a bad way, imo. It's has just the right amount of "kiddy" without going overboard. Hope it sells well and I hope we get a sequel!
it can get a bit corny but once you take it all in within proper context and studio ghibli's animation it's all good. So far I love the spacing between in-game and animated sequences. that really draws me in and keeps me anticipating the next part of the story/dialogue
great timing if you want your game to be noticed be unique among what is common
15 hours in and it still has me interested as to what will happen next. I haven't played a game in a while that had me hooked like this.
i was strapped for cash this week, but decided to go ahead and buy Ni No Kuni anyways. . . i really want this game to be a success.
so i gave in and did the ridiculous and traded infamous 2, binary domain(sealed) and RE5(all of which i only got $25 for!) Major damn rip-off from gamestop but I was desperate.. shit, never again!!
Thank god. Looks like JRPGs are finally slowly coming back. This, tales of graces f, xillia/xillia 2, new xenoblade for wiiU, pandora's tower coming for wii, and more. It almost feels like the ps1 era again. Hope this continues and grows even bigger once ps4 is here. Now if only square would get its act together I'd be in heaven.
Square has to realize that the new Xenoblade is one upping Versus 13. What Versus is aiming for "Vehicles/including tanks, large world map, airships...in HD and to scale" What Xenoblade 2/whatever has shown "Large world map, Vehicle/mech, tanks/mech, Airship/mech....in HD and to scale" If S-E want to keep Versus Special and "something amazing" according to them they better do it quick because they see Versus as something ambitious. And another company has already taken that ambition and shown it to us.
Sadly, and though I don't have a Wii U, I would have to agree. I mean the new Xenoblade trailer looks great. If SE is still going to release FFvs13 on the PS3, they need to do it fast. If it's going to be on the next-gen console, they need to add more to the gameplay. Anyways, we can't really judge both gasmes since we haven't played them yet. I just hope SE wakes up and fast! About Ni no Kuni, I flippin' love it!
@Irishguy95 Just wanted to say I agree fully and meant to hit agree but hit disagree by accident. Damn iPhone lol
sony we need more rpg like these so dont loose these guys
Don't you mean Namco Bandai? Sony had very little to do with the game.
I don't know why you're getting disagrees there. I've found that the PS3 gamers on here who are listing Ni No Kuni amongst their list of games, thanking Sony for Ni No Kuni or asking for their dependence is a moot thing. They simply allowed it to be on their system, but had little contribution to the development or bringing it over to the west. That was Namco Bandai. It's the same with Versus XIII - it's almost as if people think Sony have some sort of responsibility to make these games with them when they aren't publishing, and when their input is minimal or non-existent.
That's true. But you aren't allowed to point that out here.
Drippy's voice actor and dialogue is soooo legit!!!! lol
I love the way Drippy talks. Me, acting a little childish replaced the word flipping whenever he used it with the F-Bomb(ing) and laugh when I try to sound like him. This is one of the few games I had my family around and they just watched me play and enjoyed every minute of it. One of the best games of 2013 so far.
that is what gaming is all about...well said
Hope everyone goes out and buys the game.
This is why games should not be kept in Japan. It didn't get this kind of attention in Japan and I'm glad they didn't think of not localizing this.
Not only is this game beautiful , but it is also engulfing. Ill admit it!!!! im addicted .
M y five year old is by me now saying please play Ni No Kuni because he just sit there and watches the live cartoon .
Man this game is the truth.
I haven't played a lot of jrpg's in the past, but had to pick this up because of Studio Ghibli's involvement. Absoutely love it 5 hours in!
