Disney Infinity pricing "competitive", has over 30 hours of content

Disney Infinity's Starter Pack has been described as being "competitive" in pricing by publisher Disney Interactive.

Revealed last week, the Starter Pack will feature the game, three figurines and Play Sets, the figurine reader and a power disc.

It will retail for $74.99 in the US, or £64.99 on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U and £54.99 on Wii.

Executive producer John Vignocchi said the bundle's three Play Sets each offer around 10 hours of content including side-quests, not including the sandbox Toy Mode. (Disney Infinity, PS3, Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360)

I don't know about those prices being "competitive" - the Skylanders bundle is around $69.99, and they were smart with the "Portal Owner's Pack" with the release of Giants. I can see this "Disney Infinity" taking off purely for the fact that children must own things that contain their favorite movie characters, but I don't think it'll spread too much into the adult gaming market like Skylanders did. Very interesting read, gave a good bit of insight into Disney's thought process - as for releasing a new "Infinity" every year, that seems greedy, but what do you expect from America's largest money printer?
