10 Games That Won’t See A Release In 2013

"We’ve been in January for a fair bit now and, whilst the post-New Year cheer kept us going for a bit, the usual journalistic cynicism is beginning to set in once more. Previous features we’ve run have been hopeful lists of what we’ll be seeing in 2013, but these promises from various publishers, theorists and developers aren’t always completely legitimate."

Agent, wow. Been a while since I heard anything about this game. Is it even still in development?

gameseveryday4106d ago (Edited 4106d ago )

It is still supposed to be in development as there has been no official report on it's cancellation.

I think this will make for a lovely launch game for the PS4 and Xbox 720.

SuperSonic2664106d ago

u wish it was comming to the xbox

this game is a PS4 exclusive

iamnsuperman4106d ago

@SuperSonic266

Even Sony has admitted that have no idea if the game is exclusive or not and to ask Rockstar about it.

Personally I think it has been binned

@iam his comment is to vague to really take much from and I thought rockstar are a company that try's to keep up coming products a secret.

I wonder why Rockstar is super sercretive about Agent. I do not know whether if it is in development or canceled...

One thing is for sure, if it comes out. It better be ONE HELL OF A FREAKIN' GAME!

MrBeatdown4106d ago (Edited 4106d ago )

I'd imagine the reason we haven't heard anything about it is because Rockstar had a habit of announcing stuff way too early and finally realized they should be quiet until closer to release.

Red Dead, LA Noire, and Max Payne were all announced three or four years before they were finally ready for release, and we went years with no info in between.

They stayed silent on GTAV as long as they could though. I think it's just a matter of Rockstar announcing Agent too early, and realizing in midst of production on all those other games, that's it's best to not talk about a game until it's closer to release.

Based on what? Some concept art and a logo?

llMurcielagoll4105d ago

@MrBeatdown, hmm this was one of my assumptions, in all fairness, that they have announced Agent way too early indeed, practically shorly after the PS3 coming out in 2006. Reminds me of Blizzard and Diablo III, they have announced it too early and we waited 10 years for it to come out or something like that.

@-MD-, I think you misunderstood my statement, I did not mean that it is GOING to be one hell of a game. I said, it BETTER be, because I am waiting for a long time and I hope it wont go below my own personal expectations.

I don't understand this list, the title refers to games that won't release this year and yet on the slides all it talks about is that most of the games are actually next gen

but games not releasing this year and being next gen are not mutually exclusive, at least one of the next gen consoles will launch in 2013 and it will have launch titles, since these are the first to be announced it's very likely that they might be next gen lauch titles this year

1nsomniac4106d ago

I think u may be surprised, looking through ShopTo's coming soon section is Agent along with a new box art

gameseveryday4106d ago (Edited 4106d ago )

Here is the complete list by the way:

a. The Last Guardian
b. Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes
c. Star Wars 1313
d. Final Fantasy versus XIII
e. Tekken X Street Fighter
f. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Patriots
g. Watch Dogs
h. XCOM
i. Destiny
j. Agent

otherZinc4106d ago

Thanks for the list.

Destiny will release this year, period!

doogiebear4106d ago

I think MGS Ground Zeroes might make it to 2013. Maybe by Christmas.

007Bond4106d ago

Ground Zeroes, Rainbow six better make it this year

DarkZane4106d ago

Only one I wouldn't expect in 2013 is Afent and the Last Guardian.

Yeah, even Final Fantasy Versus XIII might be coming in 2013.

That, or it won't be far behind. It's what Final Fantasy XII was for the PS2, it will probably be released at the very beginning of ps4 era, but it's still gonna be exclusive to PS3.

Elda4106d ago (Edited 4106d ago )

My personal opinion....Square's Lightning Returns & FF-XIV is the only thing being released this year.If there's still a FFvsXIII,I don't think it'll be exclusive to the PS3 anymore, supposedly it's a big game & they supposedly incorporating the luminous engine & that's suppose to be a next gen engine so they're probably going to release FFvsXIII on both next gen systems to make money. We probably won't here any news on FFvsXIII until the end of the year once LR is released because Square knows alot of people don't care about Lightning Returns & they want to make money off this game & if they start dishing out updated news about FFvsXIII it would steal LR thunder. The Last Guardian was having technical issues & maybe they can't really do what they want technical wise on the PS3,so they're probably going to release this on PS4.I think Agent doesn't exist anymore & if so it'll probably be on multi-consoles or next gen consoles.

Sky Climb Review - Duuro

Duuro says: "I think the idea behind the movement is cool, but on the other hand, the execution and clear limitation of the platform somewhat undermine the whole thing."
